The requirements above apply to students enrolled on and after July 1, 2022. If you entered the ALUP Certificate program prior to July 1, 2022, please refer to the requirements that apply to your credential.
This program supports the learning needs of professionals in the areas of municipal government planning, development, and bylaw enforcement. Designed to match the complexity of a variety of municipal government planning needs, it empowers students to use theories and models as a means to address problems, apply critical thinking, and develop a cooperative spirit for their day-to-day professional activities.
This program is designed to match the complexity of a variety of municipal government planning needs. Students range from development officers, planning technicians, land use, environmental, and community planners, to resources managers, government officials, consultants, developers, lawyers, zoning administrators, administrators in smaller municipalities, and others involved in planning processes.
It’s great that the instructors acknowledge the constraints in the life of a “mature” student with family and job commitments.
The information I gathered from the courses was very relevant to my job. I was also able to establish contacts with other students that are employed in the same sector.
It was an amazing experience and learning journey. I highly recommend the ALUP program to anyone interested in the field.
