Alumni & Associate Alumni

All students at the University of Alberta value their alma mater. That’s why we now recognize University of Alberta Online and Continuing Education Certificate holders as Associate Alumni.

Who is defined as an Associate Alum?

Certificate holders – those University of Alberta students who have completed a certificate program through Online and Continuing Education.

Benefits

To honour the achievement of certificate holders, the Alumni Association is extending the following benefits to Associate Alumni:

  1. Save $100 when enrolling in a program
    Apply to an Online and Continuing Education program of your choice, identify yourself as a UAlberta Alum, and the $100 program application fee will be waived (details).
  2. Up to $500 off registration fee
    Eligibility for Alumni Professional Development Grants:  this grant will cover up to $500 of the registration fee for any individual Extension course that contributes to your professional development or career growth goals.
  3. Complimentary magazine
    A digital copy of New Trail Magazine (three times annually), E-Trail Electronic Magazine (monthly) and other communications from the Alumni Association.
  4. A connection to lifelong learning programs and U of A research.
  5. Discounts with select affinity partners.
  6. Access to exclusive alumni travel programs.
  7. Inclusion in student mentorship programs.
  8. Networking / business connections.
  9. Invitations to university events, including alumni functions that keep you connected to past classmates and friends.
  10. The Alumni ONEcard – discounted access to recreation and libraries.
  11. Discounts on tickets to events at the Jubilee Auditorium.
  12. Information regarding how you can support the University of Alberta through your advocacy, volunteerism and/or financial support.
