The first of its kind in Alberta, the UX/UI Research Methods Microcredential is designed for learners with no prior knowledge of User Experience (UX) or User Interface (UI) and offers a learning experience focused on user research with broad application across tech sectors, including web development, programming, app development, and marketing.

The UX/UI Research Methods Microcredential is a suite of five online connected courses that incorporate work-integrated learning opportunities where you will generate and evaluate real data by working on real-life projects, rather than artificial data sets. These courses will provide you with an understanding of the principles of UX and UI design, as well as experience in generating and evaluating human-centred user research methods to best guide the design process.

This program will be of interest to a wide range of learners — including marketing professionals, digital entrepreneurs, web developers, programmers, coders, and computer scientists — offering a streamlined path for those looking to develop skills they can quickly apply in this rapidly growing field.

The courses in the microcredential can be applied toward the UX/UI Design Certificate for those interested in pursuing further professional development.
