Learn about core issues related to data collection, data protection, and security. Be equipped with knowledge of privacy and data collection, understand various definitions of privacy and discuss topics such as protection of privacy data, security mechanisms used to protect privacy of data (encryption, data hiding, data access, antivirus software), and the regulatory framework of collecting, using, and managing personal data and privacy.
Consisting of three online, 21-hour courses, this program will be of special interest to government employees (federal, provincial, and municipal), government agencies, private sector employees, and anyone who wants to learn about the core issues related to privacy and data security. This microcredential may also help you to start exploring careers across all sectors as a privacy analyst, privacy data officer, and privacy and compliance officer.
