This certificate provides specialized training to increase your professional capacity of managing the aquatic resources in our environment. This program offers hands-on applications with real-world situations and responsive education. Students will enhance their professional skill-set and knowledge based on current research, regulations, and applications.
Course content explores the management, evaluation, and monitoring requirements of both surface water (hydrology) and groundwater (hydrogeology) resources, as well as soil classification and wetlands delineation.
Environmental professionals working with wetlands and riparian areas, as well as in the fields of hydrology, hydrogeology, and soil science, will benefit from this program. These courses are recognized by the Alberta Institute of Agrologists as senior-level agrology courses related to entrance into the profession and to augment core knowledge requirements related to a practice area in AIA.
