The Editing and Proofreading Series provides students with the opportunity to develop fundamental editing and proofreading skills for a range of fields spanning traditional and multimedia web-based applications.
Learn the basics of substantive and copy editing, correct and consistent punctuation, grammar, word usage, spelling, proofreading marks, comparing copies, the errors to look for when proofreading, the differences between proofreading and editing, and developing and critiquing narrative for multimedia projects.
Courses are scheduled over daytime, evening, and weekend classes, and schedules may vary by term.
Participants in our courses come from all walks of life, with one thing in common: they want to improve their writing skills, whether it is for work, their novel or magazine article, or their studies.
Digital Storytelling (EXSM 3989) can be used for credit towards the Social Media Marketing and Communications citation.
Courses are scheduled over daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
