Introduction to English-Medium Instruction

This course will give par­tic­i­pants the the­o­ret­i­cal foun­da­tion on which to base their under­stand­ing and prac­tice of teach­ing and learn­ing in Eng­lish-medi­um instruc­tion con­texts. Top­ics will include how stu­dents learn; an intro­duc­tion to the con­cepts of stu­dent-cen­tered learn­ing and active learn­ing; and dif­fer­ences and sim­i­lar­i­ties between teach­ing and learn­ing in a native lan­guage and in English.
