Fundamentals of Auditing

This course is designed to pro­vide stu­dents with an overview of audit­ing prin­ci­ples, an appre­ci­a­tion of audit instru­ments, and the the­o­ry and prac­tice of per­form­ing the essen­tial steps of a health and safe­ty pro­gram audit. There will be a par­tic­u­lar empha­sis on tech­niques impor­tant in mak­ing the audit a val­ue-added tool for man­age­ment in devel­op­ing the orga­ni­za­tion’s safe­ty pro­gram. Pre­req­ui­site: EXOS 4620 and Coreq­ui­site EXOS 4621

  • Defend written comments and recommendations within the scope of the audit.

Carole-Anne evaluates health and safety management systems, engages company owners on safety compliance and best practices, while encouraging positive collaborations with workers. She also performs Certificate of Recognition (COR) audits and WCB claims management. Carole-Anne is looking forward to discussing current and relevant health and safety topics with her Extension students.
