Values to Actions: Responsible Public Servant

Learn about the impor­tance of ethics and oth­er essen­tial com­pe­ten­cies of respon­si­ble pub­lic admin­is­tra­tors in main­tain­ing the pub­lic good. Explore how the chal­lenges of cur­rent crises such as COVID-19 pan­dem­ic, social inequal­i­ty, social action against racial inequal­i­ty, place addi­tion­al pres­sures and pub­lic scruti­ny on the pub­lic sec­tor and employ­ees at all lev­els of gov­ern­ment. Dis­cuss oth­er top­ics such as the mod­els and philoso­phies for pub­lic admin­is­tra­tion roles and duties, process­es for deci­sion mak­ing, wihistle­blowe­ing, and con­flict of interest.
