Social Media and Local Government in the COVID Age
Learn about strategic approaches to social media use and understand its role and importance during this current health crisis and in everyday workings of local authority. Be introduced to social media best practices for how to engage with communities, minimize risk, help citizens to feel more connected to municipal leaders, combat social isolation, and encourage citizens to invest in their communities. Other topics include the negative effects of social media misuse or overuse, municipal decisions appropriate to share, and responsibility for social media accounts at the municipality level.
This course has no prerequisites
Students from all educational backgrounds welcome. You can register for this course without applying and enrolling in a program.
