Statistical Data Modeling in Business Analytics II

In part two of this hands-on course, you will focus on fit­ting more com­pli­cat­ed mod­els to data and exper­i­ments. The mod­els that will be dis­cussed are known as gen­er­al­ized lin­ear mod­els and mixed effect mod­els. You will also learn about mul­ti­vari­ate sta­tis­ti­cal tools, such as prin­ci­pal com­po­nent analy­sis, as well as enter­ing the field of pre­dic­tive mod­el­ing using time series data and sim­ple fore­cast­ing tech­niques. By the end of the course, you should be able to inter­pret, report and present the results of your sta­tis­ti­cal mod­els. Pre­req­ui­site EXGEN 5454

Your Instructor

Stefan Schreiber

Stefan Schreiber is a registered professional biologist and researcher with over 15 years of academic training in designing field experiments, data analysis, and interpretation of scientific results. He is the owner of EnviroStats Solutions Inc., a company focused on fast and rigorous environmental statistics, data analysis, visualization, and professional training in statistics within the R programming environment. Stefan holds a PhD in Forest Biology and Management from the University of Alberta and is also an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Life, and Environmental Sciences.
