Reading the Born-Digital Text
E‑books are (finally!) outselling paperbacks; online scholarly databases are growing in leaps and bounds while library stacks are moving into storage; new works are being pinned, tweeted and liked. What does this move to the online environment mean for our traditional reading skills? This course explores the interpretive and creative possibilities that are arising alongside the creation of born digital texts. Examining how online and distributed platforms are reshaping the way we experience, interpret and respond to stories is the key focus of this course.
