Publishing in the Digital Age

The old route to pub­li­ca­tion could be chal­leng­ing, but at least it was straight­for­ward: send out your man­u­script, wait, and hope­ful­ly get accept­ed by a pub­lish­ing house. The paths to pub­li­ca­tion have mul­ti­plied and it can become a lit­tle over­whelm­ing. In this ses­sion we’ll break down e‑books ver­sus p‑books, the pros and cons of tra­di­tion­al ver­sus indie” pub­lish­ing, how to pitch to pub­lish­ers and nego­ti­ate your con­tract, and how to plan your pro­mo­tion­al strat­e­gy. You’ll pin­point the best pub­li­ca­tion fit for you and your book(s), and feel more con­fi­dent nav­i­gat­ing these excit­ing possibilities.
