Take your lan­guage skills to the next lev­el as you become com­fort­able with read­ing short arti­cles, car­ry­ing on basic con­ver­sa­tions, and fol­low­ing instruc­tions entire­ly in French. Gath­er new vocab­u­lary and prac­tice con­ver­sa­tion top­ics such as arts and enter­tain­ment, lifestyle and cul­ture, and health habits. Learn how to express your opin­ion on issues like pol­i­tics, fam­i­ly, and oth­ers. Instruc­tion is pri­mar­i­ly in French; gram­mar con­cepts are explained in Eng­lish. Com­ple­tion of EXGEN 3109 is strong­ly recommended.

Lucie Wallace is a trilingual language educator from Edmonton. In the past 10 years, she has been teaching French and Spanish to a wide range of learners in a variety of contexts, from traditional classroom settings to museums and other cultural spaces in Canada, France, and Spain. Engaging in language learning through art and culture is something Lucie is passionate about. Pop music, art, food, films, literature, and more are always present in her teaching sessions and contribute to making the language alive. Lucie is dedicated to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for learners, where they feel empowered to take risks and grow in the additional language.
