English for Science and Technology

Eng­lish for Sci­ence and Tech­nol­o­gy is a lan­guage course designed to help inter­na­tion­al under­grad­u­ate stu­dents who are near­ing com­ple­tion or have com­plet­ed their Bach­e­lors’ degree in Sci­ence or Engi­neer­ing devel­op the lan­guage and com­mu­ni­ca­tion strate­gies nec­es­sary for work­ing, study­ing and under­tak­ing research in a sci­en­tif­ic set­ting. Stu­dents will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to take part in activ­i­ties in sci­ence-relat­ed areas at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Alber­ta, which may include sim­u­lat­ed lab­o­ra­to­ry exer­cis­es, tours of fac­ul­ties and facil­i­ties, and/​or vis­its to rel­e­vant local institutions.
