Applied Soil Physics
Examine basic physical composition and processes of both the solid and liquid phases of soil. This includes how water is held by soil, how water moves through soil and the linkage between soil water régime and processes within the hydrologic cycle, with emphasis on water infiltration and redistribution. Other topics include soil thermal and aeration properties and processes, impact of spatial variability and soil mechanics. The course will explore applied soil management challenges involving the use of soil physics to address agronomic, environmental and reclamation objectives.

Students from all educational backgrounds welcome. You can register for this course without applying and enrolling in a program.
