Drawing into Abstraction
Explore the transition from representational to abstract drawing through the application of various methods and a variety of materials. Working primarily from observation, explore both wet and dry drawing tools, including ink, wash, colour, collage, resists, crayon, conte, paint, charcoal, pen, and graphite. Students will be encouraged to explore increasingly complex formal, conceptual, and compositional elements, and will work towards a self-directed body of drawings.
