Advanced HDD Design

Par­tic­i­pants with pre­vi­ous knowl­edge of hor­i­zon­tal direc­tion­al drilling (HDD) will be pro­vid­ed with in in-depth exam­i­na­tion of the key ele­ments of design that must be con­sid­ered for HDD. The specifics of design, imple­men­ta­tion, and risk will be exam­ined in detail, allow­ing par­tic­i­pants to expand their knowl­edge and under­stand­ing of the HDD process. This course will be most ben­e­fi­cial to indi­vid­u­als who have pre­vi­ous expe­ri­ence with HDD.

What you will learn

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Identify the specialized requirements within the design of horizontal directional drilling projects.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the risks associated with HDD.
  • Understand how to implement an HDD project from inception to completion.
  • Identify the requirements of site selection and geotechnical considerations within HDD projects.

Students from all educational backgrounds welcome. You can register for this course without applying and enrolling in a program.
