Writing Skills: Improving Style and Clarity

Over­come styl­is­tic faults in your busi­ness, pro­fes­sion­al or aca­d­e­m­ic writ­ing. Learn to assess your read­ers, eval­u­ate your intent and write clear and grace­ful text that engages your audi­ence’s inter­est. Top­ics will include devel­op­ing a vocab­u­lary for ana­lyz­ing style, cre­at­ing a coher­ent point of view, remov­ing redun­dan­cy and con­trol­ling long sen­tences. The course includes exer­cis­es and writ­ing assign­ments. This is a required course for the Qual­i­fied Admin­is­tra­tive Assis­tants Pro­gram.
